PROJECT BOTTLED

Project Bottled is a music education project created by Ellie as part of the Aulus Duo (flute and guitar). The project is based on Bottled, a book written by primary school teachers Tom and Jo Brassington, which aims to equip young children with the tools to develop an emotionally honest way of being able to talk more openly about their mental health. This project feels even more important in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project is structured flexibly and can be delivered either in a six-session layout or as a standalone narrated performance. The duo are thrilled to have worked with composer Ryan Elliott, who has created a piece of music to be performed alongside the narration of the book. Building this project has been an incredibly profound experience and has impacted their approach to daily life and music-making.
